BY CAR
Interstate 75
Take Exit 131 (Daniels Parkway) west to Summerlin Road. Follow Summerlin Road to the Sanibel Causeway (a $3 toll). Drive across the causeway and onto Sanibel Island. The yellow building on your right is the Chamber Center, where we welcome you At the four-way stop sign at Periwinkle Way, either a right or left turn will lead you to beaches, shops, accommodations, etc.
To reach Captiva, turn right at the west end of Periwinkle Way on either Palm Ridge Road (via turning lane) orTarpon Bay Road (at the T intersection). Both connect to SanibelCaptiva Road. Drive about 8 miles and cross Blind Pass bridge. It takes 15 to 30 minutes to drive between Sanibel and Captiva islands.
Warning: The speed limit is closely monitored and rigidly enforced.
Interstate 95
If you’re driving into Florida from the north through Jacksonville, take 1-95 south, to 1-4 west, then south on 1-75 and follow the directions above.
From Miami, take 1-95 north and follow signs directing you to 1-75 (towards Naples).

Car Rentals
You’ll need a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a major credit card (Some rental agencies have minimum age requirements, too.) Nearly all major car rentals are available at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW); it’s best to make reservations before you arrive.
